Current Situation Analysis and Prospect of China's Valve Market

Release date: 2019-12-06 14:05:36 Visits: 368

In the 1980s, China''s valve manufacturing technology has developed rapidly. In order to improve the independent research and development capabilities of China''s valve manufacturing industry, China has begun to organize key enterprises to introduce advanced technologies and processing equipment such as the design and technology of similar foreign valve products. So far, China''s domestic valve production backbone enterprises have been able to comply with ISO international standards, DIN German standards and other international standards design and manufacture various valves, and some manufacturers'' products have reached the international advanced level. However, compared with developed countries, there is still a certain gap in the supporting capacity of valves in China. The quality of our valves is not stable enough, such as running, running, dripping, and leaking, which often occur in domestic valves.

Valves are products with low profit margins, and the market competition is very fierce. The distribution of the valve market is mainly based on the construction of engineering projects. The largest users of valves are the petrochemical industry, the power sector, the metallurgical sector, the chemical industry and the urban construction sector. It is understood that there are more than 2,000 valve companies with a certain size in the market, most of which are located in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Central Plains. Due to the relatively low technical content requirements of products, competition is more intense.

But opportunities always coexist with challenges. While facing fierce challenges, China''s valve products also face good development opportunities.

First of all. With the transfer of oil development to inland oil fields and offshore oil fields, and the development of the power industry from thermal power below 300,000 kW to thermal power above 300,000 kW, hydropower and nuclear power, valve products should also change their performance and parameter. Urban construction systems generally use a large number of low-pressure valves, and have developed to be environmentally friendly and energy-saving, that is, the transition from low-pressure iron gate valves used in the past to environmental-friendly rubber plate valves, balance valves, metal-sealed butterfly valves, and center-line sealed butterfly valves. Oil and gas transmission projects are developing towards pipelines, which in turn requires a large number of flat gate valves and ball valves. The other side of energy development is energy saving, so from the aspect of energy saving, it is necessary to develop steam traps and to develop subcritical and supercritical high parameters.

Secondly, the construction of power stations is becoming large-scale, so large-diameter and high-pressure safety valves and pressure reducing valves are required, and quick opening and closing valves are also required. For the needs of complete sets of projects, the valve supply has developed from a single variety to multiple varieties and specifications. The valve required for an engineering project is increasingly provided by a valve manufacturer.

On the other hand, we have to take many problems in the valve market seriously. As China''s valve market has basically formed a coexistence of state-owned, collective, joint-venture, shares and individual private enterprises. Stable development is required in the fierce market competition. Enterprises are paying attention to the following issues: striving to reduce production costs and focusing on improving product performance and efficiency; developing high-grade high-tech products or producing non-standard products in small batches; International quality certification of valve products; valve products should develop in the direction of environmental protection and energy saving. However, it is inevitable that some illegal manufacturers who aim at making profits and at the expense of others will disrupt the development of the normal valve product market.

On the whole, the valve market price in China is relatively stable. Although it rises and falls slightly each year, the range is small. Looking at the valve market in North China, we have found that many companies charge for profit, which has seriously disrupted the valve market. The main problems in the valve market are as follows: 1. Some operators purchase valves without factory names and print the nameplates and certifications of well-known manufacturers, which seriously harms the reputation of qualified valve companies. Second, the refurbishment of the valve, some operators through the repainting of the waste valve for the second sale, to bring serious safety risks to the project quality.

Through the analysis of the valve market, it is not difficult to find that China''s valve product market has good development prospects, but it is necessary to eliminate vicious competition through standardizing market order and strict management. Here it calls the conscience of the industry and the government''s quality supervision.
